Evaluation Fees & Investing in Your Child’s Future

At Barna Psychology, we understand that every child is unique, and every family has its own questions, concerns, and hopes for their child. Our goal is to help families better understand their child’s individual strengths and needs while providing thoughtful guidance and support along the way.

Our evaluation fees typically range from $450 to $2,500, depending on the type, scope, and complexity of the screening or evaluation.

An evaluation involves more than the testing appointment. Depending on the service selected, the investment may include individualized assessment, review and interpretation of results, professional report writing, consultation with parents and caregivers, and collaboration with teachers or educational teams when appropriate. The time and services involved vary based on each child’s needs and the type of evaluation provided.

We believe that taking the time to understand each child’s profile can help families gain valuable insight, feel more confident about next steps, and identify meaningful ways to support their child at home, at school, and in everyday life.

Payment Policies

To reserve an appointment, we require a 20% deposit, with the remaining balance due when services are provided.

For your convenience, we accept cash, check, CareCredit, FSA, HSA, credit cards, debit cards, Zelle, Venmo, and PayPal. Barna Psychology is also a direct-pay provider for the Step Up for Students Unique Abilities Scholarship.

Insurance and Reimbursement

Upon request, we can provide an itemized receipt of services, known as a superbill, for families to submit to their insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Because coverage varies by plan, we encourage families to contact their insurance provider before scheduling to ask about benefits for psychological evaluations and any reimbursement requirements. Reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan and is not guaranteed.
